What: 5th-annual Wausau Financial Wellness Conference™.
There is no selling or high pressure sales tactics of any sort at the Conference. It is a purely educational event.
Who is Putting on the Conference: Get Smart Wausau is a group of professionals from financial institutions, local business, government and nonprofits in the area over six years ago with the goal of “Educating people to make smart money choices.” Asset Builders is a Wisconsin nonprofit organization and conducts the Conference in cooperation with Get Smart Wausau and other partners from the area and around the state.
When: Saturday January 21, 2012 from 9:00am – 2:30 pm (Registration & Breakfast begins at 8:30)
Where: John Muir School,1400 West Stewart Avenue, Wausau.
What:
· 20 one-hour classroom sessions for adults, featuring instruction on topics such as “How to Read your Credit Report and Improve your Credit Score”, “Should I Rent My Home or Buy It”, “Job Search Skills – How to Get THAT Job”, “Feed Your Family Good Food without Going Broke”, and much more.
· Age-appropriate programming for students.
· Child care for kids between the ages of 2 and 6 (advance reservations necessary).
· Each person at the Conference can obtain a free copy of his/her credit report with credit score and can arrange to discuss the report/score with a credit expert in a private, 1-on-1 setting.
· Door prizes throughout the day.
· Continental breakfast included with the modest admission charge.
· Keynote speakers:
o DC Everest Students (winning team from Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl
o Maung Win, author of “Winning Ways for Life.”
