What: Third-annual Wausau Money Conference™. 

                There is no selling or high pressure sales tactics of any sort at the Conference.  It is a purely educational event.

Who is Putting on the Conference: Asset Builders is a Wisconsin nonprofit organization.  Get Smart Wausau is a member organization of financial institutions, nonprofits, educators and others interested in providing financial literacy education to help people in the Greater Wausau area make better financial decisions.  

When: Saturday October 3, 2009 from 8:30am – 2:15 pm

            (Program begins at 9:15)

Where:  Northcentral Technical College (Wausau campus)

What:

·          Over 20 one-hour classroom workshops featuring instruction on topics such as “How to Read your Credit Report and Improve your Credit Score”, “Homeownership 101”, “How to Have More Money than Month for a Change (Budgeting Basics)”, “Fast Cash Do's and Don'ts -- Smart Borrowing in Emergency Situations”, and much more.

·         Age-appropriate programming for students.

·         Child care for kids between the ages of 2 and 6 (advance reservations necessary).

·         Everyone at the Conference will be able to get a free copy of his or her credit report, complete with credit score, and will be able to ask a credit expert questions in a one-on-one setting.

·         Door prizes throughout the day.

·         Continental breakfast and lunch included with the modest admission charge.

Cost: Advance registration (if received before September 25) is $3.00 for adults and free for students up to the age of 18.  After that date, registration is $2.00 for students and $6.00 for adults.
