The volunteers and staff who guide Asset Builders' work across Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Richard Entenmann is Asset Builders' co-founder and has served as Executive Director since 1999. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Boston College Law School, he was an attorney with the U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission at its headquarters office in Washington DC, playing a key role in the Commission's investor protection and education programs.
He has served as Business Representative for the Tenney-Lapham Neighborhood Council, and as President of the Eastside Lakers Blue Line Club (hockey team booster club). Mr. Entenmann is a member of the Rotary Club of Madison (Downtown) and serves on the Board of Directors of Madison's Integrated Community Work, Inc. In his spare time, Richard enjoys being with family, boating, cooking, and splitting wood. For some reason he has developed a specialty of organizing season-ending banquets for his children's high school sports teams.
Robert Wynn JD co-founded Asset Builders in 1999. Previously, Mr. Wynn served as Financial Education Officer at the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions and as Director of Minority Business Development at the Wisconsin Department of Commerce. A graduate of the University of North Carolina (BA) and University of Michigan (JD), Mr. Wynn served a three-year term on the Federal Reserve's Consumer Advisory Council and he was a long-time National Board Member of Better Investing/NAIC.
2022 begins my 35th year with the Oakdale Credit Union. Our Credit Union is $115 million in assets and serves just over 11,000 members. As part of my duties as CEO, I serve on the Wisconsin Credit Union League Government Affairs Committee and, the Wisconsin Credit Union Review Board as President. In my spare time I enjoy helping my community by serving as the New Lisbon School Board President and I am also on the Wa Du Shuda Days committee.
Eric Christiansen is a mortgage manager at Summit Credit Union in Madison, WI and has been a part of the credit union industry since 2006. His focus over the past 15+ years has been on helping consumers understand and prosper in their financial lives. In his personal life, Eric lives in Verona WI. He enjoys playing soccer and basketball, roots for his home state Florida Gators, and enjoys time with his family and two dogs. Eric has served on the Asset Builders of America board of directors since 2019.
Erin currently serves as the Financial Education and Inclusion Manager at UW Credit Union. With a dedicated focus on fostering financial education within diverse communities across the state, Erin spearheads initiatives through strategic partnerships and outreach efforts. Her responsibilities also include internal employee financial education and engagement within the credit union. Erin is Director of the Forward Learning Institute of Financial and Economic Literacy, a professional development program for personal finance educators at Edgewood College. She was honored as the recipient of the Governor's Award for Financial Literacy. Erin actively serves as an advisor to the Governor's Council on Financial Literacy, as well as the WI Jumpstart Coalition.
Greg Fleck is a Vice President - Commercial Relationship Manager for Associated Bank out of Madison. Greg has been in the finance industry for ~20 years, previously with JPMorgan Chase (2008-2024) and Barclay's Bank (2004-2008). Greg earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware (2004), and MBA from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington DE (2018). In Greg's current position, he leads a local team focused on partnering with midsize/large commercial companies & nonprofits throughout southern Wisconsin. Greg lives in Cottage Grove, WI with his wife, 2 dogs, and 7 chickens. On the weekends, he enjoys playing golf, reading, and chess.
Joel (Joe) C. McNeil began his financial services industry career in 1991 with Robert W. Baird & Co., as a Financial Advisor, held senior positions with US Bank and Strong Capital Management, and joined HGMR Investment Management in 2002. Before entering financial services, he worked as a Legislative Assistant in Washington D.C. for both a U.S. Senator and Congressman. Joe is a founding partner of Isthmus Partners, LLC where he directs Advisory Services for the firm. He specializes in comprehensive investment planning and portfolio management for individuals, corporations and non-profit organizations. Joe earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied Political Science, Economics and History. Joe is a Certified Financial Planner(TM) professional.
Kelly is the President/CEO at Valley Communities Credit Union in Central Wisconsin and has been at the credit union for over 31 years. Her educational background includes a Master's Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor's and an Associate's Degree in Accounting. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Cleveland State Bank, on the Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce, and on the Marathon County Civil Service Commission.
Kristen Gagliano is the BSA/Compliance Manager for North Shore bank and has been in the banking industry for over 25 years. With a primary focus on ensuring the bank understands and follows state and federal laws, she also spends time on initiatives to improve the customer experience and advocates for the industry. Away from work, Kristen enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Leann Eddingsaas, CPA, is the Principal Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President/Controller for First Federal Bank of Wisconsin. Prior to her engagement with First Federal Bank, she was the Controller for Spring Bank in Waukesha since its inception in 2008. In that role, Ms. Eddingsaas was instrumental in developing sound policies and procedures for this well performing bank drawing upon her 20+ years of experience in the banking industry. Additionally, Ms. Eddingsaas also serves as the Treasurer and Secretary for the FFBW Community Foundation and has been involved on the Board of Directors for The Caring Place and the Financial Managers Society - Wisconsin Chapter. She is a proud graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds a B.B.A from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
Lukas Kreger, CPA, is the Senior Vice President of Finance for First Federal Bank of Wisconsin where he is responsible for overseeing financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and capital planning, asset/liability management, and driving organizational strategy. Prior to his engagement with First Federal Bank, Lukas held roles of increasing responsibility in Deloitte's Audit & Assurance practice. In that role, Mr. Kreger provided audit services to a variety of multinational publicly traded companies and provided technical insights on complex transactions to clients.
Additionally, Mr. Kreger serves as the Treasurer and Secretary for the FFBW Community Foundation and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). Lukas holds Master of Science and Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Matt is Vice President / District Manager with US Bank. He provides leadership and helps ensure financial growth in 20+ bank branches located in WI and IL. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Matt serves as the Public Address Announcer for the Milwaukee Admirals AHL team in his spare time! Matt's previous Board service has included acting as a Director and member of the Finance Committee for the MATC Scholarship Foundation.
Scott Beyer has been with U.S. Bank for 19 years and currently holds the role of Senior Vice President, Agile Experience Owner. In his role, Scott leads a number of cross-functional agile delivery teams in developing and implementing customer and employee facing digital capabilities for the Business Banking Segment. Additionally, Scott leads a Business Banking team focused on strategic initiatives, credit risk, and change management. Scott has previously held roles in consumer and business lending product management and various leadership positions in the retail bank.
Steven is a Milwaukee attorney whose practice focuses in the areas of commercial real estate, transactional business law and business litigation. He started his career as a banker with M & I Bank after graduating from the University of Michigan and Marquette Law School. Steven has received professional recognition by the Milwaukee Business Journal, Wisconsin Law Journal, Lawyers of Color, Wisconsin Super Lawyers, and the State Bar of Wisconsin.
Steven is an Asset Builders alumnus, having participated in an investment club in collaboration with ReDonna Rodgers and the Center for Teaching Entrepreneurship.
In his spare time, Steven enjoys cooking, reading and lifting weights, and is a restaurant owner.
Steven graduated from UW-Platteville with a degree in Agribusiness and a certification in Leadership/Management from UW-Madison. His career has been focused in the Animal Health and Nutrition fields developing solutions for dairy cattle. Steven carries a passion for giving back to the Dairy Industry by serving on the Board at UW-Platteville, School of Agriculture Advisory Council, and the Dairy's Foundation(R) Board of Directors; in addition, he supports his local community food bank and church. Steven has traveled to 48 states and 32 countries throughout the world, experiencing the differences and similarities in agriculture. His hobbies include the watching the Green Bay Packers, Badger Football, and investing.
Tim Barthel is the President of Sentry Credit Union in Stevens Point, WI. He has been part of the Credit Union Movement for over 20 years, working with a number of Credit Unions. His professional focus is helping his members live their best financial life by ensuring they have the products, services, and education to make wise financial decisions. His heart is focused on helping others, always looking to be a support where he is able. He loves taking his family on fun adventures, which include many outings to watch his favorite baseball team, the Milwaukee Brewers. In his spare time you will find him wood working in the garage, enjoying the outdoors, or playing games with the fam.
