My daughter learned your Finance Camp lessons well. Her first job out of college, she immediately signed up to make retirement fund contributions, and is on pace to increase them every year. Thank you for your role in establishing that mindset.

I was reflecting on the investment club and how it has helped shaped some of the ideas I have regarding money. I graduated in 2005 and went about life. I recently completed my doctorate but I've been looking into other ways I can make my money work for me. Investing is something I am fortunate to have in my toolbox. If I had not had the experience in high school and seen the benefits I may not see myself as capable of such a task now. So thank you for that :)

I witnessed a life-changing experience for two poverty-stricken young men who were students at our school….after all, society expects certain males to drop out of high school and work in low-paying jobs. The students were victorious and took first place in the Milwaukee Finance and Investment Challenge Bowl and are now outstanding students at UW-Madison. They learned from the Bowl to compete and WIN!

On the ride home my students were filled with a buzz of excitement from the fun that they had today. Immediately upon their return today they were talking about the experience with their peers and some were even promptly inspired to spend a couple hours after school tonight working with me on some accounting concepts to better understand course material prior to upcoming exams…your efforts will have an impact that will last a lifetime for many of the students in attendance today.

The information I received attending the Money Conference convinced me it was time to stop renting and buy my first home, and that's just what I did.

I'm so grateful that you took the time to come to our school and teach us about saving and investing. With what I know now I'm going to make investing in the stock market a priority when I'm old enough. Thank you Asset Builders.

I wanted to share with you a success story from this past weekend's Money Conference in Appleton. As you know I have been part of the Fox Cities Money Conference for the past 5 years. On the day of the event I contribute by discussing with attendees their credit report and explaining the current status of their credit history and score. This year three attendees returned from prior years all with successful, positive changes on their report. It is very encouraging to be part of this success and notice the changes that this conference is able to make in a relatively short time.

I like that the questions are varied, so you never know what is going to come up. So they may know it or not, and in class we went over information today and the kids said, "that was on the Challenge", so reinforcement from the competition is great also. I like the fact that they can go see Nicolet, meet other students from different schools, challenge themselves, learn financial information and gain some confidence from going into an unknown environment and doing well and having a great time. Thanks Richard, it was a great day.

Thank you from Wausau West! The students ALL told me that they wish they would have participated in this sooner because they had so much fun.

Thank you for the tremendous opportunity to be part of the tournament. I loved seeing the students compete and challenge each other (as well as the adults) I hope that I can be part of the event next year. Thank you for all your hard work promoting financial education throughout the state. It was great meeting you as well as all of the individuals involved with the outstanding program!

I never had a chance to thank you on Tuesday for again creating such an exciting and fun learning environment for my students. Yesterday we had many discussions about the tournament and questions and students are already asking how they can be involved for next year!!! In addition, I really appreciate the time you took to write the editorial in the State Journal last week. I plan to use that in our next parent newsletter as well as relaying the results of the Financial Challenge Bowl. This, keeping my fingers crossed, should really get parents/students excited about what we are doing!!!

I just wanted to re-iterate again what a wonderful time our students had at this event. Not only did they have fun, they also learned a lot on the questions they didn't know. It sparked some great conversations at lunch, on the bus ride home and today about the stock market and other topics. I really appreciate your flexibility with timing and also fitting in that extra consolation round for my students who won two games but were eliminated because they didn't have a high score. They had a lot of fun with that last round, and went home with more of a feeling of closure by having one of them win.

This was the first time I participated in the FICB, and it was a great experience. I was amazed how much knowledge the students had. There was a little twist to the day when a team from Wausau East asked if they could play an extra game against another team at their school. We accommodated their request – it was a blast. Looking forward to participating next year.

My son, who is currently a junior at UW Madison, was a member of the HS team that won state. I teach Economics in 7th grade and he keeps telling me I should get some of my kids involved in this competition.

My students had a lot of fun and they realized how much they really learned about finance. The event is a great!

The kids had a fantastic day. It was well organized and moved along at the perfect pace – great, competitive games. You know it's a success when the juniors say "I want to come back next year!"
