Program History

Over 25 years Asset Builders has run a range of programs. As the organization focused its resources on the Finance & Investment Challenge Bowl and the Youth POWER Academy, several earlier programs concluded. Their history is preserved here.

  • The Money Conference

    A full-day financial education conference for youth and families, featuring national speakers and numerous workshops throughout the day.

  • The Millionaires' Club

    An economic education and human development program that accelerated the economic knowledge of middle and high school students.

  • Got Money! Teen Conference

    A financial literacy program delivered with community-based organizations in Milwaukee, Racine, Beloit, Green Bay, and Hayward, as part of a broader health/wealth initiative.

  • Go4It!

    Go4it!®'s mission was to promote entrepreneurship among urban youth and young adults through entrepreneurship education, training and project based initiatives.

    This program is no longer running.

    Go4It! accomplished its mission through the following objectives:

    1. Orient participants to "the economic way of thinking"
    2. Educate and expose participants to entrepreneurial principles, concepts, resources and people
    3. Provide investment education to participants as a prerequisite and complement to entrepreneurship
    4. Offer training for specific entrepreneurial endeavors
    5. Initiate and support entrepreneurial start up enterprises
    6. Facilitate access to capital, technical assistance and other resources for Go4it! enterprises
    7. Create an organized network of urban entrepreneurs

    In early 2018, the program was running community events such as:

    • Na'il Diggs and Team Go4it! hosting the first Go4it! Youth Prosperity Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 3rd.
    • A monthly Go4it! Finance Roundtable meeting at 10am on Saturday, February 10th at the BRIC co-working space located at 2741 W Fond du Lac Ave in Milwaukee.
    • Go4it! Summit IV in Milwaukee, hosted at collaborators' venue Running Rebels, on Friday, February 23rd.
